2018\/19 Recap:<\/span><\/h2>\n

Continuing the Journey Alone \u2600\ufe0f<\/span>\u2600\ufe0f<\/h2>\n
Jessi and I both received different job offers, so our paths diverged. Sad, but true \ud83d\ude22\ud83d\ude00<\/div>\n
I had found an au pair job where I earned $350 a week looking after three children aged 7, 5, and 2. Additionally, I could live and eat with the family for free. In the afternoons and on weekends, I mostly helped out on the farm to earn some extra cash. Usually, I was paid $600 - $700 a week. \ud83e\udd11 I'll admit, I was pretty nervous! \ud83d\ude28 Solo travel all of a sudden? Can it really work out? \ud83d\ude30 Anyone who knows me knows I can be a bit scatterbrained at times \ud83d\ude33. Sometimes it's good, but when it comes to finding my way back to the right place, it could be challenging. My sense of direction is not the best, to be honest. And believe me, I thought it would get better during my travels. No, it didn't. You can't even imagine the bizarre places I've ended up sometimes. THANK YOU, THANK YOU for Google Maps \u2013 otherwise, my dear ones \u2013 you probably would never see me again \ud83d\ude00 So..., let's continue with the story... Jessi got a job in Sydney, so she didn't need our car anymore, and I could drive Apollo (our car) to my job as an au pair and farm worker in the Outback. And here's where the first point comes in. Outback? Totally dangerous! So many people have died there. Thirsty. Accidents. Driving this route alone? Who doesn't know these horror stories? My host mother offered to pick me up, but in the end, I decided to drive alone. For whatever reason... I can tell you one thing: It was incredibly beautiful! \ud83e\udd70 Along the way, I saw so many animals, and hundreds of eagles were circling above me \ud83e\udd85. Once, a flock of sheep blocked my path \u2935\ufe0f\ud83d\ude00.<\/div> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

On the next image, you'll see in the upper right corner, in beautiful, ultra-poor quality, an emu crossing the road. Unfortunately, I had a really bad phone camera during my travels in Australia, so I can't offer you anything else \u2013 just consider it as retro\/vintage or whatever. Actually, my journey to the Outback took 7 hours and 19 minutes. With all the animal stops and admiration, it took at least twice as long \ud83d\ude04. <\/div>\n

When I finally arrived shortly before evening, the host family was already expecting me. \ud83d\ude0a Over the next few days, I looked after the incredibly lovely children of my host parents! I've heard so many bad things about au pair work in Australia from some backpacker stories. However, I must say that I absolutely loved it! My host family was really super nice! \ud83d\ude42 And I also loved the farm work on weekends. You can't believe how much fun it was for me \ud83e\udd29! The family had around 450 cattle, plus 2 pigs, a goat, 3 dogs, chickens, and more. During my time there, one pig died (most likely from a snake bite \u2013 as the nest was completely disturbed \ud83d\ude22).<\/div> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

I helped with the cattle work, assisting in moving the cattle slowly for kilometers into the yards. You're full of adrenaline when you stand in front of such a huge bull and try to drive it forward. Did you know? When a bull becomes aggressive, it runs straight toward you and doesn't stop! \ud83d\ude03 <\/span>\ud83d\ude03<\/span><\/div>

One day, I visited the neighbor who had a sheep farm. It was incredibly interesting to learn about his daily life and see how the sheep were sheared. This only happens 1 - 2 times a year, so I was glad to experience it once. Overall, the work looked quite strenuous. I mean, a sheep weighs quite a bit. Did you know that sheep spend most of their time eating? \ud83d\udc11<\/div>\n

Overall, I learned a lot and gained incredible experiences: I rode a motorcycle for the first time, learned to shoot with various guns, drove through the Outback on a quad, and so much more... It was such an exciting time, and I wouldn't want to miss a second of it! \ud83d\ude0a<\/div>\n

Did you know that kangaroos are a real nuisance for most farmers? They're just everywhere. In a report, I once read that there are twice as many kangaroos in Australia as there are residents. Unfortunately, kangaroos cause a lot of damage to the fields. As you can see in the bottom right image, there's a kangaroo accidently caught on a fence, or at least what's left of it... \u2639\ufe0f Kangaroos try to jump over the fences, but sometimes they get stuck in the wire. They're then so tightly trapped with their legs that they can't free themselves. A cruel sight \u2639\ufe0f! <\/div>

Repairing fences was also part of my duties in the Outback. The weather was very hot, usually around 45 degrees Celsius. Your mouth dries up just from breathing. So, cold water was an absolute delight for me! Fortunately, there are tablets for dehydration! The flies in the Outback are particularly annoying! They stick to your whole body. I would have gone crazy without music in my ears \ud83d\ude03\ud83e\udeb0\ud83e\udeb0\ud83e\udeb0. buzzzzz buzzzzz buzzzzz \ud83e\udd2f\ud83d\ude2c

After about a month, it was time to say goodbye. \ud83d\ude22 But I was also a bit excited to finally be around people again. With loud music blaring, I headed towards civilization \ud83d\ude42. The road was sandy, and the sun beat down on the car. There were occasional grooves on the ground, so I had to drive a bit slower. And then it happened. So fast. And unexpected. When I hit the brake to slow down, the car swayed to the right. Then to the left. Then to the right again. Then back to the left. I lost all control of my vehicle. It felt like an eternity. In that moment, I knew exactly what was happening. \"Janet, you're going to have an accident. And you can't do anything about it.\" So, I let fate decide.<\/div> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

 POOF. POOF. I was dead straight. My whole body was tense. It took a while for me to realize that my car was on its side. The music was still blaring in the background. I'll never forget this song. Tim Benzko. \"Ich Laufe.\" Well, in any case, after struggling to turn off that stupid music, I had a little panic attack. CRAP. What if the car starts burning? Or if it explodes? \ud83d\udca5 I have to get out of here \ud83d\ude28!!! Yep. That's what happens when you watch too much TV \ud83d\udcfa\u274c. After finally managing that, I unbuckled myself from the seat belt \u2013 which wasn't easy when you're lying on your side in the car. Then I tried to open the door above me to climb out of the car. Unfortunately, the other door had become one with the ground \ud83d\ude03. After somewhat clumsily getting out of the car, I moved a few safety meters away from it (explosion risk and all \ud83d\ude0b). My body felt heavy. I can't describe it. I was full of adrenaline. There was blood running down my shin, and I thought \u2013 now I'm going to die. But believe it or not. Apart from a tiny scratch, I was perfectly fine. No injuries at all. You know how it is when you cut yourself and the blood just flows, but it doesn't hurt at all & it's not serious at all. Yeah, it was kind of like that with me. So, it could have been worse \ud83d\ude00. After checking that everything was okay with me & cursing and spreading more panic, I finally pulled out my phone. And YAY. Almost forgot. There's no network in the boonies. Great \ud83d\ude20! The nearest house was extremely far away, and there was no one around. My host family goes to town about once a month \ud83d\ude98. Well, hope started to emerge. But... For some reason.... For some reason, I always have such luck, I got reception for about half a minute. Practically impossible in that place. I just shouted into the phone: \"Accident. Accident.\" After about an hour, my host father arrived and took care of me. Thank goodness \ud83d\ude4f.<\/div> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Our beautiful Apollo... There he lay. Half-dead... I was so angry. And sad. And ohhh.... Everything at once... Well, long story short: The car was taken to the workshop, in the nearest village. They wanted 1000 euros for the repair there. So I said goodbye to my hard-earned money \ud83d\ude4b\ud83c\udffc\u200d\u2640\ufe0f\ud83d\udcb8. A night in the village where the workshop was located cost about 200 dollars \ud83e\udd11. Exorbitantly expensive and unaffordable for me at the time \ud83d\ude35! I tried my luck and went from shop to shop looking for a job \ud83d\udc40. Nobody... \ud83d\ude14 Nothing... \ud83d\ude1e The people there were just happy they could keep their stores running at all. But my search paid off anyway. I met Debbi. A wonderful person \ud83d\ude0a! She supported me so much during this time \ud83d\ude4f. I was allowed to sleep in her vacation apartment, which saved me a lot of money \ud83d\udc37!<\/div>
I was also mega happy that our car was at least repairable... \ud83d\ude0d Hahahha, wrong thought... I drove about 30 minutes towards the beach \u2013 full of anticipation... and POOF. Our beloved car died for good... \ud83d\ude22 I stopped right in the middle of the road and had to be towed. Engine failure. I still haven't received a cent from the \"unnecessary 1000 euros repair\"... & so I paid everything completely in vain... So much savings... I was so angry \ud83d\ude21. Really angry \ud83d\ude24. In the end, I had to leave our Apollo there & move on by bus. You wouldn't believe how many things I had to leave in this car... I couldn't carry everything... \ud83d\udc94<\/div>

So I drove to New Castle. There I met great people, so I could almost forget the whole nightmare \ud83d\ude0c! I stayed there for a while because I started a job at a caf\u00e9 \u2615\ufe0f. Plus, I could sleep for free in the hostel, in exchange I just had to clean for 1-2 hours a day. In New Castle, I had found a perfect way to quickly refill my cash \ud83d\udcb0\ud83d\udcb0\ud83d\udcb0.

Coffs Harbour<\/span>\u2600\ufe0f<\/h2>
After some time, I left Newcastle again and drove to Coffs Harbour \ud83d\ude8d. There, I worked in a cool bar \ud83c\udf78. Additionally, I once again slept for free in a hostel, in exchange for providing a shuttle service. The coolest thing about the hostel was that I could go stand-up paddling for free, and the lake was only 5 minutes away. Here, I saw brightly blue crabs & hundreds of stingrays \ud83d\ude0d. Did you know that stingrays can jump? I have a video on my Instagram profile where you can see it! There, they were hopping about 1 meter high just before sunset! Really crazy! \ud83d\ude26 <\/div>\n

Then the time finally came, and my then-boyfriend and my best friend came to visit me. After such a long time, you really get homesick occasionally... That's why I was really, really excited! We explored Brisbane together (beautiful city!!!) & chatted endlessly. I had a lot to tell... \ud83d\ude00! In Brisbane, we visited, among other things, the world-famous Australian Zoo. Steve Irwin (the \"Crocodile Hunter\") was buried on this site. I thought he was sooo cool. When I was a kid, I watched his show a lot... Unfortunately, he died during his filming from the effects of a stingray barb. \u2639\ufe0f Also really nice to see in Brisbane: the botanical garden, the Story Bridge & South Bank!<\/div> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

If you love walking along the harbor or sunbathing on a beautiful beach in the sun, this is the place for you! Oh, I loved jogging along the beach at Mission Beach. The beach was deserted! \ud83d\ude0d\ud83d\ude4f I actually only went to Mission Beach because the hostel promised me a farm job, which unfortunately I had to wait for way too long... In the end, I moved on again... Unfortunately, not everything always goes according to plan, but despite everything, I enjoyed the time! \u2764\ufe0f <\/div>

What's better: Traveling alone or together? \u2600\ufe0f<\/span><\/font>\u2600\ufe0f<\/h2>
There are pros and cons to both options! Clearly... But one thing I've learned: I was never really alone on my solo travels. I met thousands of people and definitely much more than on my trips with another person. Strange, isn't it? When you have another person with you, it's usually natural to sit down with them somewhere at a table for two, plan activities together, and chat with each other. But if you're alone, firstly: Other people are more likely to approach you and talk to you. Secondly: You're more likely to approach other people or just sit down at larger tables. At first, I was a bit hesitant, but I realized how easy it is to connect with other backpackers! And if you're not brave enough to approach others, I promise you - it won't be long before someone talks to you \ud83d\ude0b Because we backpackers all have one big thing in common: We love traveling!<\/div>

Die Reise geht allein weiter\u2600\ufe0f<\/h2> Jessi & ich bekamen beide ein unterschiedliches Jobangebot, daher trennten sich unsere Wege. Traurig, aber wahr \ud83d\ude22\ud83d\ude00 Ich hatte einen Au-pair Job gefunden, bei dem ich 350 Dollar die Woche bekam und auf 3 Kinder aufpasste. Damals waren sie 7 J. , 5 J. und 2 Jahre alt. Zus\u00e4tzlich konnte ich bei der Familie kostenlos wohnen und essen. Nachmittags und am Wochenende habe ich meist auf der Farm ausgeholfen, um mir etwas extra Geld dazuzuverdienen. Meistens bekam ich 600 - 700 Dollar die Woche ausgezahlt. \ud83e\udd11 Zugegeben, hatte ich ganz sch\u00f6nen Bammel! \ud83d\ude28Auf einmal allein reisen? Kann das gut gehen?\ud83d\ude30 Jeder der mich kennt, wei\u00df das ich manchmal etwas verpeilt sein kann\ud83d\ude33. Manchmal ist das gut, aber sobald es darum geht wieder zur\u00fcck an den richtigen Ort zu finden - k\u00f6nnte es schwieriger werden. Mein Orientierungssinn ist wohl nicht gerade der Beste. Und glaub mir, ich dachte wenigstens auf den Reisen wird es besser werden. Nein. Es hat sich nichts getan. Du kannst gar nicht glauben, an was f\u00fcr skurrile Orte ich manchmal gelandet bin. DANKE, DANKE, dass es Google Maps gibt - sonst meine Lieben - h\u00e4ttet ihr mich wahrscheinlich nie wieder gesehen \ud83d\ude00 So...., weiter gehts im Text... Jessi fing einen Job in Sydney an, daher brauchte sie unser Auto nicht & ich konnte daher mit Apollo (unser Auto) zu meiner Arbeit, als Aupair & Farmarbeiterin, ins Outback fahren. Hier f\u00e4ngt der erste Punkt an. Outback? Voll gef\u00e4hrlich! Da sind doch schon sooo viele gestorben. Verdurstet. Verungl\u00fcckt. Diese Strecke allein fahren? Wer kennt diese Horrorstorys nicht? Meine Gastmutter bat an, mich abzuholen, jedoch fuhr ich letztendlich doch lieber allein. Warum auch immer... Eins kann ich sagen: Es war unglaublich sch\u00f6n!\ud83e\udd70 Bereits auf der Strecke sah ich sooo viele Tiere und \u00fcber mir kreisten hunderte von Adlern\ud83e\udd85. Leider hatte ich auf meinen Reisen durch Australien eine wirklich schlechte Handykamera & daher kann ich dir nichts anderes bieten - betrachte es einfach als Retro\/Vintage oder wie auch immer. Eigentlich dauerte meine Fahrt bis ins Outback 7 Stunden und 19 Minuten. Mit den ganzen Tierstopps & Bewunderungen brauchte ich mindestens doppelt so lange \ud83d\ude00.     \n[gallery columns=\"1\" ids=\"2111\"]\nAls ich dann schlie\u00dflich kurz vor Abend ankam, erwartete die Gastfamilie mich bereits. \ud83d\ude0aDie n\u00e4chsten Tage passte ich auf die unglaublich liebenswerten Kinder meiner Gasteltern auf! Aus einigen Backpacker-Geschichten habe ich schon so viel Schlechtes \u00fcber die Au-pair Arbeit in Australien geh\u00f6rt. Allerdings muss ich sagen, dass ich es absolut Klasse fand! Meine Gastfamilie war aber auch wirklich suuuuper Nett! \ud83d\ude42 Au\u00dferdem liebte ich die Farmarbeit an den Wochenenden. Du kannst gar nicht glauben, wie viel Spa\u00df mir das gemacht hat\ud83e\udd29! Die Familie hatte rund 450 Rinder, dazu kamen noch 2 Schweine, eine Ziege, 3 Hunde, H\u00fchner & mehr. W\u00e4hrend meiner Zeit dort starb ein Schwein (h\u00f6chstwahrscheinlich an einem Schlangenbiss - da das Nest ganz aufgew\u00fchlt war\ud83d\ude22).\n[gallery columns=\"2\" ids=\"2109,2101\"]\nBei der Arbeit mit den Rindern habe ich beim Mastern geholfen. Sprich, ich half dabei, die Rinder langsam, kilometerweit in die Yards zu treiben. Du bist voller Adrenalin, wenn du dich vor so einen riesigen Bullen stellst und versuchst diesen nach vorne zu treiben. Wusstest du? : Wenn ein Rind aggressiv wird, rennt es direkt auf dich zu und stoppt nicht! \ud83d\ude03

Es war unglaublich interessant seinen Alltag kennenzulernen und zu sehen wie die Schafe geschoren wurden. Dies geschieht nur 1 - 2 mal pro Jahr, deshalb war ich so froh, dieses einmal mitzuerleben. Insgesamt sah die Arbeit ziemlich anstrengend aus. Ich mein, so ein Schaf wiegt ja auch ganz sch\u00f6n was. Es war eine so aufregende Zeit & ich will nicht eine Sekunde davon missen! \ud83d\ude0a  \n[gallery columns=\"2\" ids=\"2095,2099\"]\nWusstest du, dass K\u00e4ngurus f\u00fcr die meisten Farmer eine echte Plage sind? Sie sind einfach \u00fcberall. In einem Bericht habe ich mal gelesen, dass es doppelt so viele K\u00e4ngurus in Australien gibt, wie Einwohner. Leider richten die K\u00e4ngurus jede Menge Sch\u00e4den auf den Feldern an. Wie du unten auf dem rechten Bild siehst, h\u00e4ngt dort an einem Zaun ein verungl\u00fccktes K\u00e4nguru, oder zumindest das, was noch davon \u00fcbrig geblieben ist...\u2639\ufe0f die K\u00e4ngurus versuchen \u00fcber die Z\u00e4une zu springen, jedoch bleiben sie dabei manchmal am Draht h\u00e4ngen. Dort sind sie dann mit den Beinen so stark eingeklemmt, dass sie es nicht schaffen sich zu befreien. Ein grausamer Anblick \u2639\ufe0f!

Das Wetter war sehr hei\u00df und lag meistens bei ungef\u00e4hr 45 Grad Celsius. Schon beim Einatmen trocknet dir der ganze Mund aus. Daher war kaltes Wasser ein absoluter Genuss f\u00fcr mich! Es gibt aber zum Gl\u00fcck Tabletten gegen Dehydration! Besonders nervig sind die ganzen Fliegen im Outback! Sie kleben \u00fcberall an deinem ganzen K\u00f6rper. Mit aufgedrehter Musik fuhr ich daher Richtung Zivilisation\ud83d\ude42. Die Stra\u00dfe war aus Sand & die Sonne prallte aufs Auto. Zwischendrin waren immer mal wieder Rillen auf dem Boden, sodass ich etwas langsamer fahren musste. Tja, und dann passierte es. Sowas von schnell. Und unerwartet. Als ich auf die Bremse trat, um erneut langsamer zu werden, schwankte das Auto nach rechts r\u00fcber. Dann nach links. Dann nach rechts. Danach wieder nach Links. Ich verlor jegliche Kontrolle \u00fcber mein Fahrzeug. Es kam mir wie eine Ewigkeit vor. Ich wusste in diesem Moment genau, was passiert. ,,Janet, du wirst jetzt einen Unfall haben. Und du kannst nichts dagegen tun.'' Tja. So lie\u00df ich also mein Schicksal \u00fcber mich entscheiden.\n PUFFF. PUFFF. Ich war kerzengerade. Mein ganzer K\u00f6rper war angespannt. Es dauerte etwas, bis ich realisierte, dass mein Auto auf der Seite lag. Die Musik lief weiterhin lautstark im Hintergrund. Diesen Song werde ich nie vergessen. Tim Benzko. ,,Ich Laufe''. Naja, auf alle F\u00e4lle bekam ich , nachdem ich m\u00fchsam versuchte diese bl\u00f6de Musik aus zubekommen, eine kleine Panikattacke. SCHEI\u00dfE. Was ist, wenn das Auto gleich anf\u00e4ngt zu brennen?? Oder wenn es explodiert????\ud83d\udca5Ich muss hier raaaaauuuuus\ud83d\ude28!!! Japps. Da sieht man wieder: Zu viel fernsehen ist nicht gut f\u00fcr einen\ud83d\udcfa\u274c. Nachdem ich es dann endlich geregelt bekommen hatte, befreite ich mich aus dem Gurt - was gar nicht mal so einfach ist, wenn du im Auto auf der Seite liegst. Anschlie\u00dfend versuchte ich die T\u00fcr \u00fcber mir aufzubekommen, um aus dem Auto herauszuklettern. Leider war die andere T\u00fcr ja eins mit dem Boden geworden\ud83d\ude00. Als ich es dann etwas unelegant aus dem Auto geschafft hatte, entfernte ich mich erstmal mit ein paar Sicherheitsmetern vom Auto ( Explosionsgefahr und sooo \ud83d\ude0b ).Mein K\u00f6rper f\u00fchlte sich ganz dr\u00fcckend an. Das kann ich gar nicht beschreiben. Ich war voller Adrenalin. An meinem Schienbein lief Blut entlang & ich dachte schon - jetzt muss ich sterben. Aber ob du es glaubst oder nicht. Ich hatte au\u00dfer einer super kleinen Schramme, absolut gar nichts. Keinerlei Verletzungen. Du kennst das wahrscheinlich, wenn du dich irgendwo schneidest und das Blut nur so l\u00e4uft, aber es tut \u00fcberhaupt nicht weh & ist auch \u00fcberhaupt nicht schlimm. Ja, genau so in etwa war es bei mir. Also es h\u00e4tte schlimmer kommen k\u00f6nnen \ud83d\ude00. Nachdem ich also abgecheckt hatte, dass alles mit mir in Ordnung ist & ich etwas umher fluchte & weiter Panik verbreitete, z\u00fcckte ich schlie\u00dflich mein Handy. Und JUHU. Fast vergessen. In der Pampa gibt es ja kein Netz. Super\ud83d\ude20! Das n\u00e4chste Haus war extrem weit entfernt & niemand weit und breit. Meine Gastfamilie f\u00e4hrt ungef\u00e4hr 1x im Monat in die Stadt\ud83d\ude98. Na, da hat sich doch Hoffnung breit gemacht. Aber.... Warum auch immer....Warum auch immer ich st\u00e4ndig solch ein Gl\u00fcck habe, bekam ich f\u00fcr ca. eine halbe Minute Empfang. Eigentlich unm\u00f6glich an diesem Ort. Ich schrie nur durchs Telefon: Accident. Accident. ( Unfall, Unfall). Nach knapp einer Stunde traf mein Gastvater ein & k\u00fcmmerte sich um mich. Ein Gl\u00fcck \ud83d\ude4f\n[gallery columns=\"1\" ids=\"2097\"]\nUnser sch\u00f6ner Apollo... Da lag er nun. Halbtot... Ich war so sauer. Und traurig. Und achhh.... Alles aufeinmal... Na ja, kurz und knapp: Das Auto wurde in die Werkstatt, ins n\u00e4chstgelegene Dorf, gebracht. Dort wollten sie 1000 Euro f\u00fcr die Reparatur haben. Ich sagte daher Tsch\u00fcss zu meinem hart erarbeiteten Geld\ud83d\ude4b\ud83c\udffc\u200d\u2640\ufe0f\ud83d\udcb8. Eine Nacht in dem Dorf, in dem sich die Werkstatt befand, kostete ungef\u00e4hr 200 Dollar\ud83e\udd11. \u00dcbertrieben teuer und f\u00fcr mich damals unbezahlbar\ud83d\ude35! Ich probierte mein Gl\u00fcck und ging von Laden zu Laden, um nach einem Job Ausschau zu halten\ud83d\udc40. Niemand...\ud83d\ude14 Nichts... \ud83d\ude1e Die Menschen dort waren froh, dass sie ihre L\u00e4den \u00fcberhaupt alleine halten konnten. Doch meine Suche hatte sich trotzdem gelohnt. Ich traf n\u00e4mlich auf Debbi. Einen wunderbaren Menschen\ud83d\ude0a! Sie unterst\u00fctze mich so sehr in dieser Zeit\ud83d\ude4f. Ich durfte in ihrer Ferienwohnung schlafen, was mir eine Menge Geld ersparte\ud83d\udc37!Au\u00dferdem war ich mega gl\u00fccklich, dass unser Auto wenigstens reparabel war...\ud83d\ude0d Hahahha, falsch gedacht... Ich fuhr ca. 30 Minuten in Richtung Strand - voller Vorfreude... und PUFF. Unser geliebtes Auto starb endg\u00fcltig\u2026\ud83d\ude22 Ich blieb mitten auf der Stra\u00dfe stehen und durfte abgeschleppt werden. Motorschaden. Ich habe bis heute keinen Cent von der ''unn\u00f6tigen 1000 Euro Reparatur'' zur\u00fcckbekommen... & habe daher alles vollkommen umsonst bezahlt... So viel Erspartes... Ich war so sauer\ud83d\ude21. So richtig sauer\ud83d\ude24. Letztendlich musste ich unseren Apollo  dort lassen & mit dem Bus weiterziehen. Du glaubst gar nicht, wie viele Dinge ich in diesem Auto zur\u00fccklassen musste... Ich konnte ja nicht alles mitschleppen.... \ud83d\udc94

New Castle\u2600\ufe0f<\/h2>So fuhr ich nun also nach New Castle. Dort lernte ich tolle Menschen kennen, sodass ich den ganzen Albtraum fast vergessen konnte\ud83d\ude0c! An diesem Ort blieb ich auch eine ganze Weile, da ich einen Job im Caf\u00e9 anfing\u2615\ufe0f. Au\u00dferdem konnte ich kostenlos im Hostel schlafen, im Gegenzug musste ich nur 1-2 Stunden pro Tag sauber machen. In New Castle hatte ich daher eine perfekte M\u00f6glichkeit gefunden, um schnell meine Kasse wieder aufzuf\u00fcllen \ud83d\udcb0\ud83d\udcb0\ud83d\udcb0.

Coffs Harbour\u2600\ufe0f<\/h2>Nach einiger Zeit verlie\u00df ich wieder New Castle und fuhr nach Coffs Harbour\ud83d\ude8d. Dort arbeitete ich in einer coolen Bar\ud83c\udf78. Zus\u00e4tzlich schlief ich wieder einmal kostenlos in einem Hostel, wof\u00fcr ich einen Fahrdienst machte. Das absolut coolste am Hostel war, dass ich gratis Stand-up-Paddling konnte und der See nur 5 Minuten entfernt war. Hierbei sah ich strahlend blaue Krebse & hunderte von Rochen\ud83d\ude0d. Wusstest du, dass Rochen springen k\u00f6nnen? Ich hab ein Video auf meinem Instagram Profil, auf dem du das sehen kannst! Dort h\u00fcpften sie kurz vor Sonnenuntergang ca. 1 Meter hoch! Echt krass!\ud83d\ude26

Brisbane\u2600\ufe0f<\/h2>Dann war es endlich so weit und mein damaliger Freund und meine beste Freundin kamen mich besuchen. Nach so einer langen Zeit bekommst du echt ab und zu Heimweh... Deshalb habe ich mich echt extrem dolle gefreut! Wir erkundeten Brisbane zusammen ( sch\u00f6\u00f6\u00f6ne Stadt!!! ) & quatschten ooohne Ende. Ich hatte ziemlich viel zu erz\u00e4hlen...\ud83d\ude00! Wir besuchten in Brisbane unter anderem den weltber\u00fchmten Australian Zoo. Auf diesem Gel\u00e4nde wurde Steve Irwin ( der ''Crocodile Hunter'' ) beigesetzt. Ich fand ihn sooo toll. Damals als Kind hatte ich seine Serie total oft geschaut... Leider aber starb er w\u00e4hrend seiner Dreharbeiten an den Folgen des Stichs eines Stachelrochens. \u2639\ufe0f Auch noch total sch\u00f6n zu sehen in Brisbane: Der botanische Garten, die Story Bridge & South Bank!\n[gallery ids=\"2157,2158,2159\"]\n

Mooloolaba\u2600\ufe0f<\/h2> Mooloolaba ist eine kleine Stadt im S\u00fcdosten von Queensland und geh\u00f6rt zur Sunshine Coast. Wer es liebt am Hafen lang zu spazieren oder an einem wundersch\u00f6nen Strand in der Sonne zu bruzeln, ist hier genau richtig! Der Ort ist sehr ruhig, jedoch findest du auch einige Bars mit toller Livemusik!\ud83c\udfb6\n[gallery ids=\"2160,2161,2162\"]\n

Townvsville City<\/font>\u2600\ufe0f<\/h2>Townsville ist eine K\u00fcstenstadt im Nordosten von Queensland. Hier gibt es eine tolle Uferpromenade! Abends hingen wir immer beim Sportplatz ab und spielten Basketball mit ein paar coolen Leuten!\ud83c\udfc0

Zu meinen absoluten Highlights geh\u00f6rten hier: das Schnorcheln entlang der spektakul\u00e4ren Riffe, unsere Wanderung ( ''Forts Walk'' ) und die Sichtung der Rock Wallabies & Koalab\u00e4ren. Mission beach<\/font>\u2600\ufe0f<\/h2>Ohh, ich habe es geliebt, am Strand von Mission beach entlang zu joggen. Der Strand war menschenleer!\ud83d\ude0d\ud83d\ude4f Eigentlich kam ich nur nach Mission Beach, da mir das Hostel einen Farmjob versprach, auf den ich letztendlich leider viel zu lange warten musste... Letztendlich zog ich wieder weiter... Leider l\u00e4uft halt nicht immer alles nach Plan, aber trotz alledem habe ich die Zeit genossen! \u2764\ufe0f

Was ist besser : Allein zu reisen oder gemeinsam?<\/font>\u2600\ufe0f<\/h2>Es gibt bei beiden Varianten Vor- und Nachteile! Ganz klar... Doch eins habe ich gelernt: Auf meinen Reisen ohne Begleitung war ich nie wirklich allein. Ich habe tausende von Menschen getroffen und definitiv viel mehr als bei meinen Reisen mit einer weiteren Person. Schon komisch, oder?  Wenn du eine andere Person dabei hast, ist es f\u00fcr dich meist selbstverst\u00e4ndlich dich mit ihr irgendwo an einem zweier Tisch zusetzen, die Aktivit\u00e4ten gemeinsam zu planen und miteinander zu quatschen. Bist du jedoch allein, kommen erstens: Andere Menschen eher auf dich zu und sprechen dich an. Zweitens: Gehst du eher auf andere Menschen zu oder setzt dich einfach nur an gr\u00f6\u00dfere Tische. Anfangs war ich etwas zur\u00fcckhaltend, jedoch habe ich gemerkt, dass es so einfach ist, mit anderen Backpackern in Kontakt zu treten! Und wenn du dich nicht trauen solltest auf andere zuzugehen, verspreche ich dir - es dauert nicht lange bis du von irgendjemanden angequatscht wirst \ud83d\ude0b Wir Backpacker haben n\u00e4mlich alle eine gro\u00dfe Gemeinsamkeit: Wir lieben das Reisen!
