the Square of 1000 Doves \ud83d\udd4a\ufe0f<\/i> <\/span><\/font>\ud83d\udd4a\ufe0f<\/span><\/h6>
Surrounded by beautiful buildings such as the Palacio Li\u00e9vano<\/b>, the National Capitol<\/b> and the Cathedral Primada<\/b>,<\/div>
 is the central square \" <\/span>Plaza de Bol\u00edvar<\/b>“.<\/span> In the middle of the square, hundreds of doves gather, and occasionally, an alpaca crosses their path \ud83d\ude03. For a small fee, you can buy dried corn here to feed the doves or take a photo with an alpaca \ud83d\udcf8. In the past, the square served as a bullfighting arena and public market square.<\/span><\/div>

A hot chocolate with cheese<\/b> might sound a bit strange to some \ud83e\udd14. At first, I was almost certain that this combination couldn't taste good \ud83d\ude06! It somehow reminded me of people who used to eat cheese sandwiches with Nutella. Weird people. But like in any other country, I wanted to try the \"delicacies\" of the land \ud83d\ude0c. When the infamous drink finally arrived, we had no idea how to drink it \u2615\ufe0f. Bite the cheese first, then take a sip of the hot chocolate.<\/div>

The cheese must be added directly to the cup so that it can melt with the hot chocolate \ud83e\udd13.<\/span> <\/span>Admittedly, the taste of the traditional \"Chocolate con queso\" is a bit strange at first, but afterwards, it's somehow tasty. \ud83d\ude0b<\/span><\/div>

Santuario Nuestra Se\u00f1ora del Carmen \ud83d\udd14<\/u><\/h6>\n
This impressive Catholic church dates back to the 20th century. Its striped color makes it so extraordinary. \ud83d\ude2f<\/div>\n
\u00a0Due to the narrow streets, it's not so easy to get a good picture of this landmark \ud83d\ude02. When we arrived, it was very rainy, so we didn't stay long.<\/span>\u00a0Still, it was worth a short visit \ud83d\ude09.<\/span><\/div>\n

The Gold Museum<\/span><\/h6>
In this museum, you'll find plenty of information about indigenous peoples and a detailed history of gold, silver, and copper mining. The entry fee was just under 3 euros per person in November 2022.<\/div>

Mount Monserrate<\/span><\/h6>
Due to time constraints, we didn't manage to visit Cerro de Monserrate. The mountain is 3,152 meters high and<\/span> located in the Santa district.<\/span>On-site, you have two options: <\/span><\/div>
either lace up your hiking boots and take the 2-hour hiking route, or hop on the cable car for around 5 euros per person. The view is said to offer a spectacular vista over Bogota and part of the Andes. It's a shame we couldn't see that!<\/span><\/div>

2. Cartagena<\/span>\ud83d\udccd<\/span><\/h6>\n
The Old Town<\/u><\/b><\/div>\n

Of course, you shouldn't miss the colonial Old Town of Cartagena \ud83d\ude0a. In 1984, the historic city center was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and remains a sought-after destination to this day. You can either stroll through the labyrinth of streets on foot or even explore the city in a horse-drawn carriage \ud83d\udc34. There are countless shopping opportunities available, and especially in the evening, it's lovely to sip a cocktail on one of the many hotel decks. \ud83d\ude0d<\/div>\n

The Fortress of Cartagena<\/span><\/h6>
The fortress Castillo San Felipe de Barajas, built in 1536, is located on the hill of San L\u00e1zaro. The highest point of the fortress can be reached in just a few minutes on foot. Along the way, there are small, dark underpasses that add excitement to the excursion. \ud83d\udc7b Especially at sunset, the view from above is truly impressive! \ud83c\udf06<\/div>

A perfect place to buy a beer and stroll through the crazy streets \ud83e\udd29. Everywhere, there are vibrant colors, hanging flags, artworks, and chalk-painted paths. For me, one of the most beautiful places in Cartagena! \ud83d\udcf8<\/div>

Just about 1 hour away from the city center of Cartagena, you'll find Playa Blanca beach \u2600\ufe0f. In most cases, you can reach the beach on foot. We had to walk along a really narrow stretch of beach for about 10 minutes with our luggage to reach our glamping accommodation. However, you have the option to have your luggage transported by wheelbarrow for a fee. These are usually readily available at the parking lot. Unfortunately, my stay was a bit disappointing as everything was just filled with sunbeds, people, and accommodations. Next time, I would prefer a different beach or only visit for excursions.<\/div><\/h6>

From Playa Blanca, we took a boat to the Islas del Rosario \ud83d\udea4. There are 28 different small islands here. From there, we did a shipwreck dive, which was pretty cool! I must add that the visibility underwater was very murky, and there were few underwater creatures to see \ud83e\udee4. Nevertheless, it was an amazing experience to dive through the sunken ship \ud83d\ude0d!!<\/span>!!<\/span> On another day, we went on a snorkeling tour, which was only partially worth it. Unfortunately, almost all boats visit the same hotspots, so it was quite crowded. However, we found a spot where we had some peace and could admire the spectacular underwater world \ud83d\udc20!<\/span><\/div>

Definitely one of my highlights on the trip through Colombia! The birdlife was extremely impressive \ud83d\ude0d! I have never seen so many different bird species like here. The facility was lovingly designed, and the animals had plenty of space \ud83d\udc95. Some birds, such as the parrots, even lived in complete freedom \ud83d\ude2f. For only 7 euros per person, it's an absolutely fair price. Honestly, I would have paid three times as much \ud83d\ude09. <\/span><\/div>

1. Bogota\ud83d\udccd<\/h6>
Plaza de Bol\u00edvar<\/u><\/h6>
der Platz der 1000 Tauben<\/i> <\/font>\ud83d\udd4a\ufe0f<\/h6>Umgeben von wundersch\u00f6nen Geb\u00e4uden wie dem Palacio Li\u00e9vano<\/b>, dem Capitolio Nacional<\/b> und der Catedral Primada<\/b>, befindet sich der zentrale Platz '' Plaza de Bol\u00edvar<\/b>''. In der Mitte des Platzes versammelten sich hunderte von Tauben und zwischendrin kreuzte das ein oder andere Alpaka ihren Weg \ud83d\ude03. F\u00fcr kleines Geld bekommst du hier die M\u00f6glichkeit getrockneten Mais, als Futter f\u00fcr die Tauben zu kaufen oder ein Foto mit einem Alpaka zu schie\u00dfen \ud83d\udcf8. Damals diente der Platz unter anderem als Stierkampfarena und \u00f6ffentlichen Marktplatz.

,,Chocolate caliente con queso''<\/u><\/h6>Eine hei\u00dfe Trinkschokolade mit K\u00e4se<\/b> h\u00f6rt sich wahrscheinlich f\u00fcr den ein oder anderen etwas seltsam an \ud83e\udd14. Zun\u00e4chst war ich mir schon fast sicher, dass diese Kombination nicht schmecken kann \ud83d\ude06! Es erinnerte mich irgendwie an die Menschen, die damals immer K\u00e4sebrot mit Nutella gegessen haben. Komische Menschen.  Aber wie in jedem anderen Land auch wollte ich nat\u00fcrlich auch hier die '' K\u00f6stlichkeiten '' des Landes kennenlernen \ud83d\ude0c. Als schlie\u00dflich das ber\u00fcchtigte Getr\u00e4nk vor uns stand, hatten wir nat\u00fcrlich keinen Plan wie es getrunken wird \u2615\ufe0f. Erst vom K\u00e4se abbei\u00dfen, dann ein Schluck von der Trinkschokolade.! \u274c FALSCH \u274c ! Der K\u00e4se muss direkt in die Tasse gegeben werden, sodass der K\u00e4se mit der hei\u00dfen Schokolade verschmelzen kann \ud83e\udd13. Zugegebenerma\u00dfen ist der Geschmack der traditionellen ''Chocolate con queso'' anfangs etwas merkw\u00fcrdig, aber im Nachgang doch irgendwie schmackhaft. \ud83d\ude0b
Fazit:<\/u><\/b> Ich w\u00fcrde es wieder kaufen. \u2611<\/i>

Die Altstadt Bogotas<\/i><\/h6> Lass dich einfach treiben durch die faszinierenden Gassen und bewundere dabei die bunten Kolonialh\u00e4user, die vielen Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten und s\u00fc\u00dfen Caf\u00e9s und Restaurants. Auch die Graffiti und urbane Kunst solltest du dir nicht entgehen lassen! \ud83c\udfa8 \u00a0 \u00a0\n[gallery ids=\"2766,2768,2762\"]\n
Santuario Nuestra Se\u00f1ora del Carmen \ud83d\udd14<\/u><\/h6> Diese beeindruckende katholische Kirche stammt aus dem 20. Jahrhundert. Ihre gestreifte Farbe macht sie so au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlich. \ud83d\ude2f \u00a0Aufgrund der engen Gassen ist es gar nicht so einfach ein gutes Bild von dieser Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeit zu schie\u00dfen \ud83d\ude02. Bei unserer Ankunft war es sehr regnerisch, weshalb wir nicht lange dageblieben sind.\u00a0Dennoch war es einen kurzen Besuch wert \ud83d\ude09. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Copy<\/b> Translate Copy<\/b> Translate\n[gallery ids=\"2755,2757,2756\"]\n
Museo del Oro \ud83c\udfc5<\/u><\/h6>
Das Goldmuseum<\/h6>In diesem Museum findest du viele Informationen \u00fcber die indigenen V\u00f6lker und eine ausf\u00fchrliche Geschichte \u00fcber die Gewinnung von Gold, Silber und Kupfer. Der Eintritt lag bei knapp 3 Euro pro Person im November 2022.

Orte, die wir leider verpasst haben:<\/u><\/h6>
Mount Monserrate<\/h6>Aus Zeitgr\u00fcnden haben wir es leider nicht mehr geschafft, den Berg Cerro de Monserrate zu besuchen. Der Berg ist 3.152 Meter hoch und befindet sich im Stadtbezirk Santa. Vorort hast du zwei M\u00f6glichkeiten: Entweder du schn\u00fcrst dir deine Wanderschuhe zu und nimmst die 2-St\u00fcndige Wanderroute oder aber du setzt dich in die Drahtseilbahn f\u00fcr rund 5 Euro pro Person. Die Aussicht soll einen spektakul\u00e4ren Blick \u00fcber Bogota und einen Teil der Anden bieten. Schade, dass wir das nicht mehr sehen konnten!\n
2. Cartagena\ud83d\udccd<\/h6> Die Altstadt<\/u><\/b> \u00a0 Selbstverst\u00e4ndlich solltest du die koloniale Altstadt von Cartagena nicht verpassen \ud83d\ude0a. Im Jahr 1984 wurde der historische Stadtkern zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe erkl\u00e4rt und gilt bis heute als begehrtes Reiseziel. Durch das Labyrinth aus Gassen kannst du entweder zu Fu\u00df bummeln oder alternativ sogar auf einer Pferdekutsche die Stadt erkunden \ud83d\udc34. Es stehen unz\u00e4hlige Shoppingm\u00f6glichkeiten zur Verf\u00fcgung und besonders abends ist es sch\u00f6n auf eines der vielen Hoteldecks einen Cocktail zu schl\u00fcrfen. \ud83d\ude0d \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Copy<\/b> Translate\n[gallery ids=\"2787,2790,2784\"]\n

<\/h6>Besonders am Abend verspr\u00fcht die Altstadt nochmal ihren ganz eigenen Charme. \u2728

 San Felipe de barajas<\/u> \u26eb

Die Festung von Cartagena<\/h6>Die im Jahr 1536 errichtete Burg Castillo san Felipe de barajas befindet sich auf dem H\u00fcgel von San L\u00e1zaro. Der h\u00f6chste Punkt der Festung ist bereits in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar. Zwischenzeitlich liegen auf dem Weg immer wieder kleine, dunkle Unterf\u00fchrungen, die den Ausflug noch spannender machten.  \ud83d\udc7bBesonders zum Sonnenuntergang ist die Aussicht von oben wirklich beeindruckend! \ud83c\udf06

das kunterbunte Hippieviertel<\/font><\/h6>Ein perfekter Ort, um sich ein Bierchen zu kaufen und damit durch die verr\u00fcckten Stra\u00dfen zu schlendern \ud83e\udd29. \u00dcberall sind knallige Farben, h\u00e4ngende Flaggen, Kunstwerke und kreide bemalte Wege. F\u00fcr mich eines der sch\u00f6nsten Orte in Cartagena! \ud83d\udcf8

Nur etwa 1 Stunde vom Stadtzentrum Cartagena entfernt, befindet sich der Strand Playa Blanca \u2600\ufe0f. Das Hotel erreichst du in den meisten F\u00e4llen nur fu\u00dfl\u00e4ufig. Wir mussten zu unserer Glamping Unterkunft ungef\u00e4hr 10 Minuten samt Gep\u00e4ck einen wirklich sehr schmalen Strandabschnitt entlang gehen. Allerdings hast du die M\u00f6glichkeit f\u00fcr etwas Geld dein Gep\u00e4ck mit einer Schubkarre transportieren zulassen. Diese stehen meist schon massenhaft am Parkplatz bereit. Leider hat mich der Aufenthalt etwas entt\u00e4uscht, da einfach alles voll mit Liegen, Menschen und Unterk\u00fcnften war. Beim n\u00e4chsten Mal w\u00fcrde ich einen anderen Strand bevorzugen oder nur f\u00fcr die Ausfl\u00fcge anreisen.<\/h6>

Von Playa Blanca aus ging es mit dem Boot weiter zu den Islas del Roasrio \ud83d\udea4. Hier gibt es 28 verschiedene kleine Inseln. Von dort aus haben wir einen Schiffswrack-Tauchgang gemacht, was ziemlich cool war! Hinzuf\u00fcgend muss ich sagen, dass die Sicht unter Wasser sehr tr\u00fcb war und es nur wenig Unterwassertiere zu sehen gab \ud83e\udee4. Dennoch war es eine geniale Erfahrung durch das untergegangene Schiff zu tauchen \ud83d\ude0d!! An einem anderen Tag machten wir eine Schnorchel-Tour, die sich nur teilweise gelohnt hat. Leider haben fast alle Boote die gleichen Hotspots, sodass es ziemlich \u00fcberf\u00fcllt war. An einer Stelle hatten wir jedoch unsere Ruhe und konnten die spektakul\u00e4re Unterwasserwelt bewundern \ud83d\udc20!

Definitiv eines meiner Highlights auf der Reise durch Kolumbien ! Die Vogelwelt war \u00e4u\u00dferst beeindruckend \ud83d\ude0d! Ich habe noch nie so viele verschiedene Vogelarten gesehen wie hier. Die Anlage war liebevoll gestaltet und die Tiere hatten reichlich Platz \ud83d\udc95. Einige V\u00f6gel, wie beispielsweise die Papageien, lebten sogar in v\u00f6lliger Freiheit \ud83d\ude2f. F\u00fcr nur 7 Euro pro Person ein absolut fairer Preis. Ehrlich gesagt h\u00e4tte ich sogar das dreifache bezahlt \ud83d\ude09.

Nimm dir gen\u00fcgend Zeit, da der Park doch recht gro\u00df ist. Au\u00dferdem ist es super sch\u00f6n, einfach auf der Bank zu sitzen und die Vogelger\u00e4usche zu genie\u00dfen \ud83e\udd70.

Fazit<\/u><\/font><\/h6>Alles in allem war Kolumbien ein unvergessliches Abenteuer. Neben Peru und Chile geh\u00f6rt Kolumbien nun auch zu meinen Lieblingsl\u00e4ndern aus S\u00fcdamerika! <\/b>
