Caribbean Cruise — St. Lucia, Barbados & Tropical Islands
Caribbean Cruise — Islands, Beaches & Tropical Dreams
A Caribbean cruise was never on my bucket list. I'm more of a backpacker than a buffet-ship kind of guy. But when Max and I boarded in March 2026, the Caribbean changed my mind. The islands are so diverse, the colors so vibrant, and yes—sometimes it's nice when the hotel sails with you.
St. Lucia — Volcanoes & Luxury
St. Lucia was my highlight. The Pitons—two dramatic volcanic cones rising from the sea—are one of the most photogenic sights in the Caribbean. We hiked the Tet Paul Nature Trail (easy, 45 minutes, breathtaking views) and then bathed in the Sulphur Springs mud bath. It sounds gross, but it feels incredible—your skin is baby-soft afterward.
Barbados — Rum, beaches & fish market
Barbados has character. The west coast has tranquil beaches with turtles (Paynes Bay—you swim with them, no joke!), while the east coast boasts rugged Atlantic waves. The Oistins Fish Market on Friday evenings is a must: freshly grilled fish, rum punch, live music, and the most authentic local atmosphere of the entire trip.
